Privacy Policy
Privacy is part of the discretion MRKNATIONS promises. This notice explains how information is handled across www.mrknations.com, its forms and private correspondence.
Effective 22 August 2026
access@mrknations.comWho this notice covers
MRKNATIONS is responsible for personal information collected through www.mrknations.com, including private enquiries, invitation applications, updates sign-ups and related correspondence. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to access@mrknations.com.
Information we collect
We collect only what is reasonably connected to the relationship you choose to begin with MRKNATIONS. Depending on your interaction, this may include:
- identity and contact details, including name, email address, telephone number and organisation;
- application details such as Instagram handle, city, date of birth, age and the gender option you select;
- the content of an enquiry, biography or other information you voluntarily send;
- communication preferences and evidence of consent;
- technical information needed to operate and secure the site, such as device, browser, approximate location, request and security logs; and
- information supplied by Wix or another service provider where necessary to operate the site and its forms.
How and why we use it
We use personal information to receive and respond to enquiries; privately review applications; maintain the updates list you requested; protect the site and its community; keep accurate records; improve performance; and comply with law. Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on your consent, steps you ask us to take, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting MRKNATIONS, or a legal obligation. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Private applications and discretion
Submitting an application does not guarantee access, invitation or a response. Applications may be assessed for alignment, authenticity, safety, location and the context of a proposed gathering. Review is conducted privately and may involve authorised members of the MRKNATIONS or AccessNations team. We ask that you do not submit sensitive information that is unnecessary to your introduction.
Communications
Essential messages may be sent to confirm a form submission or respond to a request. Editorial or promotional updates are sent only where you have asked to receive them or where another lawful basis permits. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by using an unsubscribe option or writing to access@mrknations.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
Who receives information
Access is limited to people who need the information for a legitimate MRKNATIONS purpose. We may use carefully selected providers for website hosting, forms, email delivery, security, analytics and professional advice, including Wix. Providers may process information only for the services they supply and under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a genuine business reorganisation. MRKNATIONS does not sell personal information.
International processing
MRKNATIONS has an international audience and its service providers may process information in more than one country. Where law requires it, we use recognised safeguards for cross-border transfers and take reasonable steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection.
How long we keep it
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, the continuing relationship, security, dispute resolution and legal or record-keeping duties. Enquiries and applications that do not progress are periodically reviewed and deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed. Subscription details are kept until you unsubscribe or the list is retired, subject to a limited suppression record that prevents accidental re-subscription.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your information, or object to particular processing. You may also withdraw consent and complain to the relevant data-protection authority. In South Africa, this may include the Information Regulator. We may ask for enough information to verify identity before acting on a request, and lawful exceptions may apply.
Age
The forms and private experiences on this site are not directed to children. If you are below the age at which you can lawfully provide your own consent where you live, do not submit personal information without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that information was provided without valid authority, we may delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online service can promise absolute security. Please use email thoughtfully and avoid sending highly sensitive material unless specifically requested through an appropriate channel.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site, our services or applicable law changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated in a proportionate way.
